Research Collaboration
This section introduces research collaboration supported through the FRIENDSHIP project, including joint research projects, fellowship programs for new partnership, and voices from participating researchers.
Through these initiatives, researchers at IIT Hyderabad and Japanese institutions have built collaborative networks that continue to evolve beyond the framework of the project.
Joint Research Projects
A total of 37 joint research projects have been supported through the FRIENDSHIP project.
These projects connect faculty members from IIT Hyderabad and Japanese institutions and have led to co-authored publications, joint supervision of students, and long-term collaboration.

Fellowship for New Partnership
The Fellowship for New Partnership program supports the development of new research collaborations by providing travel support for IIT Hyderabad faculty and their students to visit Japanese universities.
Through this program, 27 fellowships have been awarded to initiate discussions on joint research, joint supervision of students, and future external funding proposals.

Institutional Collaboration
IIT Hyderabad has established institutional partnerships with a number of Japanese universities and research institutions through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).

Institutional agreements between IIT Hyderabad and Japanese universities provide a framework for a range of academic activities, including:
